Whiteout is another one of the landscapes I see in my head; landscapes that are familiar though I never quite know where they are or how to get back there. It floated around in my head for a while and after finding the stainless-steel penny rounds, it was ready to fall out. More complex than most, the materials drove what would come next, each area weaving into another. I am fascinated by the juxtaposition of materials with differing reflectivity and the shadows between. Limiting the color palette emphasized the surface texture while describing a complex world with multiple entry points.
