Children's Medical Mosaics

Sonia's recently finished four large mosaic murals for Children's Medical Center of Dallas. The walls, each approximately 8' high by 17' wide are be featured on four new patient floors. Created from a varied mix of materials, the mosaics are designed to be visually stimulating as well as texturally engaging. Many thanks to Mitchell Associates, the Interior Architecture firm, for the professional renderings of Sonia's designs.

                                         Nature

Each curved wall has a theme: Shapes, Symbols, Balloons and Nature. Not only do the elements change size and color as they move across the wall, but the background also changes color as it flows from left to right. The 'fresco grout' is unique and created by layering the colors by hand.
